My most recent published work includes Flight MH17, Ukraine and the New Cold War. Vol. III of Modes of Foreign Relations and Political Economy (London: Pluto Press, 2014) (xv + 275 pp).
Currently I am working on Big Data Socialism–The Digital Planned Economy and Who Will Get Us There, planned for publication in 2020/21, and other projects.
Besides academic work I published short stories and three novels (all in Dutch) and I work currently on a romanticised memoir, When Marx was still in fashion (also in Dutch). I have also been politically active in the Dutch Communist Party until it broke up and more recently, as a peace and democracy activist.
